So as I’m working on the finishing details of my Cleaning Up book, I thought I’d share a bit about it and what it entails:

WHO:

This DIY book is intended for anyone who wants or needs to take charge of their income.  Whether you have small part-time or large-scale needs, solo self-employed or president of a $1 million company, you’ll be able to use the information in the book to build a solid foundation on which to build your dreams.  Even if you’re a current solo or company struggling, needing to reevaluate everything, it can help.

WHAT:

Cleaning Up will cover the fundamentals of the cleaning business industry that you’ll need as a solo cleaner or owner of a company.  It provides a solid foundation for a number of ways forward so you can tailor your future as your own.

NOT:

Cleaning Up will not cover how to purchase a franchise cleaning company, or how to be a silent partner.  It’s also not coaching for an already successful cleaner/company.  And if you’re looking to get rich at the expense of low-wage workers, look elsewhere because values and ethics are covered pretty early on.

About the creator/author:

Lucinda (Cindy) Wolford began her cleaning business in January of 2015, and by June of 2017 had 10 employees, was grossing over $25,000 per month, and had successfully transitioned from solo cleaner to owning and managing her business.

Cindy got involved with several online communities with other cleaners and cleaning company owners and noticed a trend of very basic questions getting asked every day multiple times.  Questions like “How do I get my first client?” or “Exactly what equipment and supplies do I need to get started?”.   The more experienced members were great (sometimes) at sharing their experiences, but it was very hit-or-miss.  The newer members really needed information and help but it was too time consuming to keep answering the same questions.

In a nutshell, the Cleaning Up course and blog will be answering those basic questions so that anyone anywhere can have a better shot at becoming successful.  Coaching for cleaners and business owners is better done by others, so Cindy can keep her focus narrow on the beginner.
